Gaios is the biggest village of Paxos and has the most population.

Opposite the main square of Gaios there is a small verdures island called San Nicolas.

San Nicola’s island is a natural breakwater, which has a Byzantine fortress and two small churches.

Gaios is a very cosmopolitan island especially in summertime.
